Professori Teresa May Benson saapuu Suomeen elokuussa kouluttamaan ASI® koulutettuja terapeutteja:

Teresa A. May-Benson, Sc.D., OTR/L, FAOTA is a distinguished occupational therapist, researcher, and educator renowned for her expertise in sensory integration and praxis. She serves as President and Owner of TMB Education, LLC and OTR, Inc., and is a sought-after lecturer both nationally and internationally.

Dr. May-Benson is the author of several influential assessment tools, including the Adult/Adolescent Sensory History (ASH), the Gravitational Insecurity (GI) Assessment, the Motor Planning Maze Assessment and the Test of Ideational Praxis. Her scholarly contributions span numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, particularly in the areas of ideation, praxis, and sensory processing.

With a rich clinical background, she has worked extensively with children and adults with autism across diverse settings, including public and private schools and private practice. Her leadership within the profession includes serving as Chairperson of the Sensory Integration Special Interest Section of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).

Dr. May-Benson’s outstanding contributions have been recognized with multiple prestigious awards, including:

*The Virginia Scardinia Award of Excellence and the A. Jean Ayres Award from the American Occupational Therapy Foundation (AOTF)

*The Alice S. Bachman Award from Pediatric Therapy Network

*The Catherine Trombly Award from the Massachusetts Association of Occupational Therapy

Her work continues to shape the field of occupational therapy, advancing understanding and treatment of sensory integration challenges across the lifespan through collaborative research and educational activities.
